Any age, any ethnicity, any gender. Must have a documented chronic illness/condition. Ideally should be in the field of arts and/or entertainment.
Artists Raising Awareness organization is seeking participants to appear in a documentary short about Chronic Pain/Chronic Illness.
We are looking for people who are suffering from one of the chronic illnesses that affect nearly 1 in every 2 Americans (133 million).
We want to hear your story, be it a success or a simple outline of how you've personally dealt with having ANY Chronic Illness [i.e.asthma, diabetes, arthritis, epilepsy, sickle cell anemia and other illnesses].
We are interested in people of all ethnicities, ages, and sexes because Chronic Illness affects all kinds of people.
Submission Instructions:
If you would like to be interviewed to raise awareness for Chronic Pain/ Chronic Illness, please send us your story, along with a picture, answering some of these questions in your own words.
• What is your condition and what does it do?
• What are your career/hobbies?
• What is an average day like for you?
• When you're having a bad day, do you put on a front for others? How?
• Do people know when you're not well?
• How do people treat you when they know you're not feeling well?
• How do people in the medical field treat you?
• What frustrations have you experienced due to the ignorance of people who don't have chronic pain?
